  • "If you are at your wits end with your four legged friend or just in need of a trainer to work with your dog on the basics, Kirby is the trainer for you. We cannot say enough good things about her. We came to her after trying the ‘commercial trainers’ and I wished we found her first. It would have saved us a lot of stress, frustration and money. She purposely only takes on two dogs at a time to ensure that she is able to devote the time and energy needed into training your dog. The commercial trainers don’t do that. We have a 95lb Labrador Retriever named Henry. He’s an amazing dog but was very pushy and reactive. I am petite and he would become so reactive that he wouldn’t listen and it resulted in him getting away from me and running towards other dogs and people. He was not aggressive but still, it got to the point I hated walking him and I was anxious of seeing anyone or any dog when we were out. This led to us having to give him trazadone daily to be able to manage him. We also gave it to him when we boarded him to help with his separation anxiety, and prior to people coming over to ensure he was calm. It also helped to stop the excessive barking, jumping and whining. I hated giving him medicine everyday but it was needed in order to manage him. She worked with Henry and took him places and did things with him that we didn’t think were possible. And he has not taken a trazadone since the day we dropped him off with Kirby! She worked with our dog and gave us back the best version of him. She also gave us the tools to maintain it. I now look forward to walking my dog and can now go off leash with him in controlled and some uncontrolled settings. If we see another dog I know what to do avoid a chaotic situation. She even gives you a binder so that if you forget, or need a refresher the commands and guide are readily available. Her use of social media to keep you updated on your dog’s progress is brilliant and we got to see in real time the success and progress he was making each day. Her program is amazing and is worth every dollar, but it is not a magic pill. You have to be committed to continuing to enforce the things she has done. Your dog will be pushy when they come home, especially after the first week, so you have to be consistent in following the steps she has laid out. If you have a partner, you both have to be on the same page and committed. If you do that, you will see a long-lasting change. We just hit the month marker of him being home and we have had family and friends over, contractors over and we haven’t had to crate him. Only one instance of jumping while out on a walk and honestly it was my fault for not telling the neighbor no when she asked to pet him (that’s in the binder too!) A once wild dog is able to maintain a restful mindset thanks to Kirby."

Once we got to her place & she started showing us around it was like we were on a TV set, she has a great SET UP, I was seriously stoked my pup was going to be with her for 14 days! When we arrived for drop off, Watson jumped out of the car window (he needed SERIOUS training!) but when we picked him up, he was so calm & such a good listener!   • "I can’t say enough good things about Kirby and Country K-Nine. As I watched Huckleberry‘a progression during his 2 week board and train I was amazed. He was a very aggressive and out of control boy. He is almost 6 years old and grooming was a disaster. He actual lhad to be fully sedated which I hated to do. Kirby has made that into a dream for myself and Huckleberry. I just am so happy about this.everyone that has stopped by and seen him since his training are not sure i got the right dog back.     "Kirby is a miracle worker! We have 2 aussiedoodles who did a 2 week board and train with her. We had previously worked with a force free trainer in the past and our problems were not helped in the little. Kirby helped educate us on the e-collar and how to properly use it. When we went to pick up the dogs after the two weeks they were new dogs. They didn’t jump on people, were able to walk on a leash without pulling, and listen at door thresholds to wait. We are 3 months out from training and with reinforcement they have retained it. We’ve had multiple people comment on the change and how good they are. I will be keeping Kirby in mind for any future dogs or anyone needing help. She is amazing and I cannot recommend anymore! P.S. Colby and Lollie say thank you Kirby!"

    "Where do I even begin with Kirby?! We are so beyond thankful for her and all of her work she has done with our lab/cattle dog Boomer. We adopted him back in 2020 right when the pandemic hit (just like the rest of the world did). Due to our boy's wild puppy energy and our lack of training knowledge, we soon realized we needed help from a trainer ASAP. Kirby helped us with individual sessions, structured daycare, boarding and on top of being a great friend. We now live in the Chicago area, but when we are back down south we love sending Boomer to Kirby. We trust her with our whole hearts and don't have any worries leaving our boy with her. He always leaves so happy and tired, which for a 5 hour car ride is wonderful! Even though we are no longer in the same area, Kirby continues to be so supportive of us and Boomer. She is always there to answer my anxious dog mom questions. She gives amazing recommendations for treats, food, meds, training advice, etc. She knows how to ease my anxiety like no other. Boomer LOVES Kirby and loves living the country life when we send him to her! We miss her so much and wish we had a Kirby up here.     "I cannot say enough good things about Country K-9 and Kirby. When deciding where to bring our dog Gunnie for help with recall training and impulse training, I toured multiple facilities. Gunnie had worked with Kirby in the past for sessions but we moved further away, so I thought perhaps a place more local would be best for us. However, I knew after touring other board and trains and meeting with trainers, that there was no one I trusted more than Kirby. The drive was more than worth it. Gunnie takes to Kirby so well and I was AMAZED with the progress he made in just 2 weeks of working with her. Since bringing him home, I’m finally able to give him some off leash freedom so he can enjoy and run with our other family dogs. I am also amazed at how much his leash manners improved. He can be very pushy, but now knows how to heel with a loose leash, or completely off leash! I really enjoyed getting to see daily updates on social media and loved that he was able to get some play time in with other dogs as well.     "When you are looking for a professional to train your dog OR a great place for boarding, put Country K-Nine at the top of your list. The trainer is awesome, absolutely loves what she does and posted videos on Instagram so I could see some of the process. Fun to watch and helps with the humans separation anxiety The Facility Is very clean, roomy, has a large fenced in field, and lots of room outside of that for dog walks. The experience was so good for my dog. I can't wait to take him back so he can enjoy it again!"
